Seriously though, VSO work relentlessly to enable communities in developing countries to develop in a sustainable way.

I will be going to the North East region of Ghana quite a long way from anywhere as far as I can tell from my research so far...  Hence the motorbike - I am taking this very seriously, with thanks to Southwold (Sole Bay) Lions who have helped kit me out with decent safety gear. 

Quick update - had accident on bike, failed bike test, had bike repaired, passed bike test.  Sharp learning curve following bike test, but still alive and smiling.

Had many jabs and rather unpleasant experience at the dentist and am now ready to go to Ghana, collecting Visa next week.

Many thanks to everybody who has donated towards my fundraising.  I have decided that if you add on all the Gift Aid I am well over my target even when Just Giving have removed their whack...  I am about to be made redundant from Suffolk County Council so will not be back to work as expected.  Who knows what I will do when I grow up??
