Story

In memory of John Theaker

Dear Dad slipped away from us on 29th May 2022, aged 87 and just a year and 4 days after we lost Mum. It has broken our hearts.

Dad loved animals and spent many happy hours walking his and Mum's dogs, Gemma (pictured), then Rosie the King Charles Spaniel and, more recently, Diesel, the Shih Tzu. Spending time with his four legged friends gave Dad a new lease of life in his retirement – getting out, exercising, meeting other dog walkers and the incomparable companionship that comes with owning a dog.

Being with Diesel, (who is now living with me (Alison) and Dave) undoubtedly helped him keep going through the last few difficult months without Mum.

Both Gemma and Diesel were rescued by the RSPCA and re-homed to Mum and Dad through them. In order to give something back for the invaluable work this charity does for all animals, we have chosen it to benefit from donations we hope will be offered in Dad's memory.

Thank you for your generosity.

Alison Clarke and Hilary Lambert (John's daughters)
