Story

Arco is an incredible charity which was started by my sister, Louise Lansdown. Young string players from Arco in Soweto receive online instrumental lessons from string students at Birmingham Conservatoire. This is a wonderful programme, as it provides valuable teaching experience to conservatoire students and of course top quality tuition for Arco pupils. The project has been so successful that it has provided instruments, books and tuition for the project, as well as enabling young musicians from Soweto to attend residential music courses in the UK. Arco are very proud to have brought one student to study the cello at Birmingham Conservatoire and another young cellist to study at the Purcell School.  Arco relies almost entirely on fundraising and is an incredibly worthy cause.

Why not invest in young musicians whilst vastly improving your own playing?
