As you all know my sister is expecting identical twins in April :-) . It was not until I heard of this wonderful news that I found out about Twin to Twin transfusion syndrome, the devastating effects it can have on families and babies and the work the charity TAMBA do to help fight the battle against twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome is a life-threatening condition which affects around 15% of identical twins, and multiple births. This condition generates severe difficulties which affect the blood supply to each twin. If untreated 90% of babies are likely to die and, of those surviving 50% will have long term conditions or health problems. My CRAZY self is now completing a SKYDIVE this week to raise money for this vital charity.The research is invaluable to changing the life chances and outcomes for these families.
