Hi Everybody

I am preparing to run the London 10km on 11th July and would like you to help me raise funds for the International Children's Trust, a charity of which I am proud to be a Trustee. 

We work to support partners overseas working with children in poor communities who are facing extreme difficulties which challenge their development.   Street living and working, illegal and abusive labour, trafficking and other precarious and dangerous situations seriously undermine children's passage into responsible adulthood and many simply cannot do any more than repeat the poverty they were born into. The ICT works through local organsations to give the right care and support to help children return to, and regularly attend, school. In this way the ICT has helped turn around the lives of thousands of children and families. 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I aim to raise £1000 and hope that you will contribute to my efforts.  Just to give you an idea of what £1000 can do: it will pay for 10 ex-child labourers, in India, to re - enter formal school by giving them guided learning for one year, or pay the costs of a street outreach worker in South Africa to help young school drop-outs to enter community schools and learn informally before entering mainstream school.  Please help me achieve this.
