On 11 th July this year I will be taking part in the Tenth Anniversary ASICS British 10K London Run in order to raise money for St John's Hospice - the only independent hospice in central London, and just around the corner from my home. 

St. John's Hospice looks after people with a wide range of illnesses including cancer, dementia and heart disease.  It also pioneered an inclusive approach to looking after people living with HIV/AIDS in the 1980's.  Day and night the specialist staff at St John's deliver extraordinary care and compassion, free of charge, to patients with these life threatening illnesses. But it is only able to provide this vital service with the help of charitable donations, which is why I want to help to raise funds for them.
