Story
Hi folks - thanks for stopping by. The good news is that I completed the first Brighton Marathon, in a time of 4 hours and 19 minutes, and was spurred on considerably by your generous donations to the marvellous work of Off The Fence.
I was so happy that all the training appeared to pay off, and pleasantly surprised with the time. My target time was anything under 4 hours 30 minutes, but to be honest just finishing was the main goal. I also had a secret goal which was not to stop and walk at any point, so was especially pleased to achieve this.
The legs were rather resentful this week, particularly on Tuesday, but by Friday I was able to go out for a gentle run which felt great. Next stop - Paris? New York? Peckham? Who knows, but thanks again - please feel free to contribute if you haven't already done so, and once again, a huge THANK YOU to everyone for being so wonderfully supportive, particularly those I saw along the route who were cheering so loudly!
