We are Fighting AIDS Worldwide to Help save lives

Story

Well,  I did it!! I ran the entire 26.2 mile New York City Marathon in a full Freddie Mercury costume. What a blast I had! Thanks to everyone who supported me in that fundraising effort. It's time to start again.

We are currently in the middle of a pandemic that hit those with with autoimmunity issues like HIV or AIDS the hardest. The best way we can protect not only ourselves, but them is to wear a mask when we are in public and around other people.

I have had a lot of requests for my masks, so decided to handle these requests in this way: I will buy supplies to make the masks, all I ask in return is a minimum $15 ($20 if want a custom color) to the Mercury Phoenix Trust..

Why would I do that? I was actually volunteering at an AIDS organization when Freddie died. It was a horrible time for those suffering and as a Queen fan, it was a punch in the gut I didn't see coming. I really want to raise awareness and funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a trust created after Freddie died which uses the money raised to help AIDS charities where it is needed the most.

Research and treatment have come so far since that day 28 years ago, but infection rates are still high in the western world and in impoverished countries it always has been high. So, while I reached the finish line, the fight for a cure has not. We are closer to the finish line than we were 28 years ago, but we still have a long way to go. Your donations help get us closer.

The MPT is helping people on a global scale, so please give what you can!
