Story

Anita Flavin Black and Green Ball

This appeal was set up after our good friend Simon's mother, Anita Flavin aged 50, died of Kidney Cancer in October 2009. It was her ambition to come through her battle with cancer and raise awareness of the disease. Unfortunately she was never able to do that, but with the help of her three children and husband her legacy can live on with the help of the James Whale Fund: "The James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer is the UK’s leading specialist kidney cancer charity. It seeks to help reduce the harm caused by kidney cancer by increasing knowledge and awareness, providing patient information and by supporting research into the causes, prevention and treatment of the disease."
