Story
I’m climbing Kilimanjaro this summer and hope to raise funds for PHA (Pulmonary Hypertension Association). Sadly my friend was diagnosed with this condition and passed away last summer aged 19. Pulmonary hypertension is a rare lung disorder in which the blood pressure in the pulmonary artery rises far above normal levels. This means the heart has to work harder to increase the blood supply flowing through the lungs. Over time the heart becomes less efficient and eventually gives up. The trip expenses have been paid by myself so all the money raised will go towards helping families who are already coping with this condition and towards ongoing research to improve prognosis. I would be grateful of any donations.
