Story
On the 22nd of March 2014, a group of us from University of Leeds will be doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge, which is climbing the highest 3 peaks in Yorkshire in under 12 hours. We have all aimed to raise £150 each, so any money you can spare would be massively appreciated!!!
This challenge is in aid of a registered charity named SUDEP Action. Epilepsy is one of the top-ten causes of early death and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) can be devastating to the affected person’s family and friends.
The money raised is mainly split between these areas; offering support and bereavement counselling when someone has died, sponsoring research into individual deaths but also further research into causes of SUDEP, educating people on epilepsy/ SUDEP and capturing data from across the UK through the Epilepsy Deaths Register and therefore helping to increase understanding.
All the money donated will go straight to the charity and we intend to fundraise as well, but any money anyone is willing to donate to this fantastic cause is appreciated! So please donate or if not, please pass the details on to anyone who might be interested in donating!
Many Thanks, Anna x
