Fundraising for Mary Stevens Hospice
Story
Hi!
On the 9th April I am running my first marathon (26.2 miles!) in Paris.
I want to raise money for Mary Stevens Hospice. The hospice in Stourbridge cared for my nan a few years ago who was suffering from cancer. When visiting I was so impressed with all the care the staff provided. The nurses and medical help that they provide to patients is remarkable. I originally wasn't going to raise money for this marathon as I was just going to do it 'for fun'. However, I am now at the point in my training where I am spending my weekends forcing myself to run 22 miles and more and its got to the point where I was contemplating whether running the last mile or re-sitting my final exams would be the less painful option. If I can raise even a tiny amount for this hospice it will make all the miles, training and time worth it.
