Story
Hello and welcome to Annie and Cathy's page,
Well...... we (Annabel Hancock and Cathy Marsh) have signed on the dotted line and commited ourselves to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. There has been talk of embarking upon such a challenge for some time now but we have finally managed to organise ourselves to trek the machame route on 22nd October 2010. The trek will require strength, stamina, endurance and a sense of humour!
And you may be asking why?! ......... we have been asking ourselves the same question! But seriously the motivation has come from a desire to raise money for the cleft lip and palate association (CLAPA), a charity who support the children and families born with a cleft lip and palate. For more information on CLAPA visit http://www.clapa.com/.
As you may already know we both work at The South West Cleft Unit at Frenchay Hospital. Cathy, as a Lead Specialist Nurse and Annie as a Speech & Language Therapist. We want to support both the local charitable CLAPA branch and also the national CLAPA branch who rely heavily upon charitable donations to continue their invaluable work.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now we really, really appreciate your support! For further details on the climb, CLAPA or anything else please contact annabel.hancock@nbt.nhs.uk or cathy.marsh@nbt.nhs.uk.
THANK YOU!
