Story

My name is Annie Larson and I am a St. Giles graduate and current Fenwick junior. When I was younger, my mom and some of the older neighborhood kids would set up a little egg hunt at Lindberg Park every year for all the younger children on the block. When I was in 3rd grade, I decided to become one of the “big kids” and help organize the event and hide the eggs. In 4th grade, I decided to make it a fundraiser. Each year, with amazing support from my community, the donations have grown tremendously, and in the past 7 years we have raised over $10,000. This year, the first year back in person after covid, we are hoping to raise another $5,000 for Hephzibah.

I have been connected with Hephzibah for many years now, and it becomes more clear to me every year what an amazing organization it is. Each year, I get to do a separate, private egg hunt with some of the kids living in the house, and getting to know these children is an amazing experience. This organization could not do everything it does without the support of the community, so please consider contributing what you are able!
