Apologies I am sending this out ooh so late, but better late than never hey! I am running the Paris Marathon this coming Sunday the 11th April 2010. The idea for running the Marathon came about 6 months ago when I was out in Dublin with friends and I was given a list of ten things to do in the coming year before I get married in September. One of those being a Charity event.

I am running the Paris Marathon on behalf of Brake, or in particular BrakeCare which is Brake’s support division, supporting you if you are bereaved or injured in a road crash, or if you are caring for someone affected in that way. This is a charity which is very close to my heart. I lost my sister and my niece in a car accident in 2003 and so I am running this race in their memory.

Also need to give a special mention to Ms Jacqui Gray who was one of the catalysts for me running the race, at the same time as I run the Paris Marathon, Jacqui will be running the Connemara half Marathon so wishing her all the best.
