Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi there, on this day December 2nd 2009, I have taken a brain wave, I have been thinking on how to raise money for the British Kidney Patient Association {BKPA}. So I am going to walk the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness all 73 miles of it. The fun part of doing this walk is I have managed to get my brother Tom and my bestman Ricky to tag along to keep me company. The walk should take us 5 days approx or maybe more since Tom is pushing on a bit also due to the fact we will be carrying all our gear with us. We are going to start on Saturday 29th May. So thanks to my dad who is going to give us a lift to Fort William in the middle of the night.
I have chosen this Charity because as many of you will know my wife Isabel {Bell} suffers from chronic renal failure and has started dialysis so after many visits to hospital/clinics etc, I feel I should try and give them something back for all the fantastic work they do and continue to do.
Isabel to date April 2010 is now on transplant list and on machine every Monday,Wednesday and Friday. She attends Stobhill Renal Unit and I must say they have been fantastic.
After the walk I will upload photos from it for all to see how it went.
Donating through Justgiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So any donation would be great.
Thank You
