We pioneer health, education & human rights to support Nepal's neediest communities

Story

  • In 2006 Nepal emerged from feudalism and a decade long civil war which claimed more than 16,000 lives
  • The tragic 2015 earthquakes killed more than 8,000 people, injured 140,000 and left 4 million homeless
  • 1 in 3 children in Nepal are malnourished
  • 40% of Nepal lives in poverty

Nepal is a beautiful country found in the Himalayas but its population is struggling. Natural disasters and political strife have left the country on its knees. I am travelling out there in September for three weeks, through Mountain Trust, to help aid those in need. My time will be spent helping in the earthquake reconstruction effort.

The Mountain Trust is a non-profit registered UK charity providing low-cost high-impact projects to target some of the problems encountered by Nepal's marginalised and remote communities since 1999. They receive no statutory funding so your money is vital for their work and will really make a difference.

  • £7: Could pay the wages of one worker for constructing one of our earthquake resistance frames.
  • £12: Could pay for a national Radio Guru radio education broadcast.
  • £72: Could pay for a one year scholarship for an underprivileged child.

The team at Mountain Trust and I would greatly appreciate it if you could donate money towards this wonderful cause. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
