This week I am one of a number of Durham students part of Just Love who are eating beans and rice to raise money and awareness for global food poverty. It's really not okay that a billion people every day go to sleep hungry - that's such a massive number but to put that into context that's 1 in every 8 people in developing regions that are undernourished. 

The Mean Bean Challenge is in support of Tearfund who do an amazing job of going into some of the most deprived regions and communities and providing the education and equipping of families and groups, just £10 is enough to provide a family's training and draw them out of the cycle of food poverty - any donation large or small greatly appreciated!
