Story
UPDATE: 26th April. What a day. Really enjoyed the race and the day. Managed to set a personal best time of 4 hours 15 minutes and 48 seconds. Thanks to all of you who sponsored me and Help for Heroes.
Big thanks to Trudy Iles, Peter Crawford and Emily Gittins and Lorraine Humfress for the off-line sponsorship money. Very much appreciated.
Having run several marathons now (very slowly) I've finally got the chance to run the 2010 Virgin London Marathon. I couldn't let an opportunity such as this go by without trying to raise some money for a charity that I wanted to support.
I'm sure we all think that we have a difficult job or go through tough periods in our lives but when you read and hear of the incidents of our badly wounded and injured Servicemen and women you can't help but think you would like to do something.
My 'something' is to run VLM. In my minds eye I have the running style of Haile Gebrselassie but truth be know I run more like a chicken on stilts. However, no marathon is easy, I find it hard so please join in my trying to raise £500 for Help for Heroes.
I will update you on how training is going so keep visiting my page. You can also follow me on Twitter Watford_Wobble or on Facebook.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
