We build mobile cancer care units to give those with cancer extra time

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My great grandfather, Israel Marcus (Max) Millet, opened his first shop in Bristol in 1893. It would be prove to be the forerunner to what became, and remains today, a high street institution. Max and his 10 brothers and sisters arrived in the UK as Jewish immigrants from what is now Poland. Many of them started businesses all trading in the same goods with Government surplus from first the Boer War and then the First World War very much providing the foundation. While most people think there was only one Millets/Milletts there were in fact, at one stage, 14 separate companies all evolving from the family. It has been a labour of love for me to research and write the history of my family's business. I decided on a small print run for the book with the idea of giving it away to family and friends - and anyone else interested. However, in lieu of a cover price, a relative suggested that he would make a donation to a favourite charity of mine. Therefore, I have established this JustGiving page with the aim of raising money for Hope for Tomorrow. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. I hope that you will give generously. Thank you.
