Women for Women International is a non-profit humanitarian organisation founded in 1993 that helps women in conflict and post-conflict zones such as Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sudan by providing financial and emotional support, rights awareness training, education and job skills training to women survivors of war.Women for Women International has launched this year a Run for Congo initiative, a global run or walk movement benefiting its program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After many successful events in the US, the first official run in the UK will be the race I'm joining on July 3rd.
