We raise funds for the NHS in Sheffield to improve the care of local neuro patients

Story

In July 2018, Paul Kirton, a friend of so many and cherished father, son and brother suffered a brain hemorrhage. This was a sudden and totally un-diagnosed occurrence. Paul was immediately rushed to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Sheffield) and placed on the Neurological Care Ward.

Paul spent more than 3 weeks on the neurocare ward where the doctors and nurses did everything in their power to ensure he received the very best treatment and care possible for every minute of each day to try and overcome the event.

Unfortunately after a brave battle Paul's brain hemorrhage proved to be fatal and he passed away on August the 1st 2018 at just 44 years old.

The neurocare department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital is a truly amazing department with a vast array of unbelievable equipment providing minute by minute care around the clock for it's patients. Many of these patients are only with us today due to the extraordinary care that the department can provide through their highly trained staff and state of the art innovation that continues to improve every single day.

So many people have gone on to live normal lives after the pioneering treatment they have received on the Neurocare Ward, Sheffield and it is for this reason that we must continue to support this superb cause. We hope that you will join us by donating to our just giving page.
