Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page. To view the incredible campaign this page is supporting please visit www.justgiving.com/teams/target250k

In November I decided to go for a long run with almost no training under my belt. Stupid, I now understand, but those of you that know me will have realised that I tend to do a lot of things on the spur of the moment. This is when I realised that theres no better reason for doing this other than helping to raise money for a great charity and so I joined the cause and brilliant and dedicated team for Target250k.

On January 16th 2016 both myself and Chris (who I now fear I may have infected with this running bug) will be joining a few other crazy people in the CTS Dover Ultramarathon. This Ultramarathon consists of running along and around the White Cliffs of Dover in freezing temperatures and high winds for over 8 hours, covering a distance 34.5 miles and nearly 4,300ft of ascent throughout. To say we are novice runners is an understatement so this will probably be the hardest thing either of us has ever done!

Please donate to such an amazing cause. Every penny raised will be donated to our team page and will go towards raising money for the overall goal of £250,000!

Please check out the team page on the link above to see the overall total so far and all other pages / events that are contributing to the 250k target.

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. We provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. We are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
