Story
Well the challenge for this year is to do the Great North Run. I'm running it to raise money for Max Appeal. www.maxappeal.org.uk
Max Appeal is a national charity supporting children affected by a condition known by several names including Di-George Syndrome, Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome and 22q 11.2 Deletion Syndrome.
People with the condition have a small piece of Chromosome 22 missing and as a result have heart defects, a poor immune system, problems with speech and learning difficulties.
As you may or may not be aware my daughter Lucy was born with a lot of cardiac defects, so charities such as this one are close to my heart - excuse the pun!
Please dig deep if you possibly can to help me achieve my target for this very worthwhile charity.
