Story
On 17 July 2010 Ben ‘B.A.’ George, Chris ‘Face’ Wilson, Fiona ‘Murdock’ Chisholm and Karen ‘Hanibal’ Dalby completed Trailwalker, a truly epic 100 km team challenge across the South Downs.
To put it in perspective 100 km is:
Five times around the Circle Line
Twice the legnth of the Channel Tunnel
More than three times around the Large Hadron Collider
The distance from Earth to the edge of space!
The final time was 19 hours 50 minutes and enough blisters to last a lifetime.
We would like to say a big Thank You to all those who showed their faith in us and supported us before the event. It is still possible to show your appreciation and help two great causes, Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
Oxfam works in 3 main areas: Campaigning for change, development work and emergency response. For more information on the work Oxfam undertake, follow this link to their website: oxfam.org.uk/oxfam_in_action
The Gurkha Welfare Trust cares for ex-Gurkhas and their families. Providing financial, medical and community aid to alleviate hardship and distress among Gurkhas. They help repay the debt of honour owed to the brave Gurkha soldiers, who have fought for our freedom for nearly 200 years. You can learn more at gwt.org.uk/what-we-do
