We Offer Therapeutic and Structural Support to Traumatised Children and Families

Story

Cambridge Acorn Project does therapeutic work with children and families connected to issues around stress, trauma, attachment and social justice. They take referrals from and work with schools, local authorities, communities and parents and carers. The charity works across Cambridgeshire, including Huntingdon to support vulnerable children and their families.

Many have suffered with their mental health as a result of the pandemic and Cambridge Acorn Project is doing specific pieces of work in Huntingdon around this, including for children at a pre-school.

They say "We work on behalf of a greater equality. We believe that things can be different if only resources were allocated and distributed differently".

BRJ have chosen Cambridge Acorn Project to support as the charity of the year for 2021-2022 and are proud to do so.
