Story

Those of you who have chosen to support the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association are doing it knowing that it was an integral part of Barry's life. As a young man he was rescued himself and went on to become a lifelong member.

About the charity

For over 70 years UWFRA has been rescuing people and animals from the caves, mineshafts, fells and crags of Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale. Our rescue services remain free to all who need us, day or night and are financed entirely by fundraising events and donations.
