My story
Thank you for visiting this page that we've set up in memory of Beardy-Man-Dan.
As some of you will know, Mo-vember is upon us. This year, rather than spending all that effort to grow just a moustache, some of us (Ash Longden, Alan Simpson, Jamie Heeds, Mike Shepherd, Adrian Montague, Andy Dye, Stefan de Jong, Jon Svikis, Mike Shipley, Chris Sumner, Ian Besford and anyone else who wants to join in, apologies if I've missed you out) are hi-jacking it to raise money for The Anaphylaxis Campaign, the charity nominated by Dan's wife Tess, that supports those and their families with similar conditions to Dan's.
We will be growing (or attempting to grow) full beards in the style of Dan's impressive facial hair with a final unveiling and shave-off in early December to commemorate his life at the first anniversary of his passing away.
We would really appreciate you helping us in raising money for this worthwhile cause, every contribution, no matter how small, will help make a difference. Thanks for your support and we'll post the photographic evidence here in December...
Update: Thanks to everyone for your donations so far, your generosity is fantastic! Since we've reached our target so early, we've decided to up the ante and aim to raise £750. In return, if we reach this lofty target, we have agreed to die our beards a fetching shade of ginger for the last day, 9th December...
Update 2: Jon has offered to shave his head as soon as we reach £500!
Update 3: Jon has now shaved his head to a no.1, pictures to follow. Mike Shipley has said that if we reach £2k, he will shave his hair into a mohican!

The Anaphylaxis Campaign provides support to the growing number of people at risk from life-threatening allergic reactions, particularly to foods. We work vigorously to educate schools, health professionals and the food industry to achieve a safer environment for all those with severe allergies.
