4 years ago a close family friend collapsed and was taken by Wiltshire Air Ambulance to hospital; despite their efforts it was later found she had a heart condition and at 32 she died leaving behind a husband and two small children.

Having been there with her; I witnessed the fantastic job the emergency services do every day in trying to save lives.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance plays a crucial part and is dependant on public support of £500,000 per year to keep the service going; 1/3rd of the running costs; the other 2/3rds paid for by the police for their incidents.

Training and Running the Bath Half Marathon will be my way of saying Thank you to the support and assistance they gave.
