LOCAL BUSINESSMEN FACE BIGGEST CHALLENGE YET

Three prominent local businessmen are tackling the grueling Trans Pennine Trail for charity.

Robert Beerock of Beercock, Wiles and Wick along with Jimi Parkinson of Sessions Spa and from UNICOM Property are cycling this exhausting route in June in aid of Leukemia.

“It was Roberts idea” explains Simon from his office on Newland Avenue” as we are all keen cyclists and thought it would be fun to do something together whilst raising money for a good cause.”

The Trans Pennine Trail is an exciting route for cyclists linking the North and Irish seas, passing through the , alongside rivers and canals and through some of the most historic towns and cities in the North of England. The Trail from coast-to-coast between and Hornsea is 215 miles (346Km) long.

“I have cycled some of this route before” said Robert.  “It is a key part of the National Cycle Network in the North of England and is truly breathtaking”.

This group of keen cyclists are intending to split the route over three days, finishing on 21st June (Summer Solstice).  They chose Leukemia as Steven, Robert’s eldest Son, recently lost his Mother to this disease.

Jimi told us “We all want to get motivated and fit of course, but this way we get to do something to help others as well.  We all support Steven in his choice of Charity and feel that it gives us that added bit of encouragement to succeed”.

Steven, George and Henry Beercock will also be taking up the challenge.

Please dig deep and support the boys in their challenge!!
