Oxfam Trailtrekker 2013 · 1 June 2013 to 2 June 2013 ·
On Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June I'm taking on the Oxfam Trailtrekker Challenge- a 100km (63 mile) walk through the beautiful landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. Along with Ken Dick, Davey Smith and Charles Price (Team Name Beers n Hills n Sheep n Blisters). The challenge is for all four of to finish the course as a team of four in under 30 hours.
Before that on Sunday 28th May (The week before Trailtrekker) I'm running the 10k Great Manchester Run. Not a massive distance but for someone, who didn't take up running until December last year- It's enough to be going on with.
I reckon I'll need a playlist of at least 30 songs to get me round.
Anyone wanting to add a song to the playlist can do so for a small donation.
£3 gets one song on the play list
£5 gets 2 songs
and a donation of £10 gets 5
Post your track recommendations in the comments box after you've made a donation.
We all support the work Oxfam does fighting disease, poverty, inequality and suffering across the globe and here in the UK.
Did you know?
A donation of £2 can help provide school meals for a child for a month.
A donation of £5 can go towards stocking a farmyard so families and communities feed themselves now and in the future.
A donation of £25 can help train a new teacher in the developing world, or help pay the salary of existing teachers
We know that you get lots of calls for your time and money to support charities, so we really appreciate any donation you can make.
As a team we'll be posting updates on our progress on facebook. Please like us, follow us and share our updates with anyone who you think will appreciate the exploits of four grown men who should know better.
Cheers!
