Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those who don't already know I will be undertaking the epic John O'groats to Lands End challenge next month by bike and althougth its short notice I have decided it would be a good opportunity to raise some sponsorship for a local childrens charity called Sophies Appeal.

The aims of the charity are to raise funds to support the social, emotional and educational welfare of sick children and their families or carers whilst being treated either in hospital or the community. I came across this charity following a couple of visits to Sophies Place which is an assesment area at Royal Hampshire County Hospital where children come for a short time before being admitted to the ward or being sent home.

I will be joined on the ride by a friend, Simon from Winchester and we aim to complete the 1000 mile journey in two weeks.  We are likely to be passing through a town near you so if anyone fancies either joining us for a few miles, coming out to wave a flag or rubbing some cream in where it hurts, the support would be appreciated.
