Dear All,

When I was on the ships I was very impressed by the no nonsense help that the Mission to Seafarers provided for mariners who end up with nowhere else to turn. To raise money for this worthy cause I am about to attempt a half iron man. This means swimming, cycling  and running twice as far as I have ever attempted before. This will be a genuinely difficult and unpleasant few hours for which I feel ill prepared! hooray!
