Story

To celebrate their 60th birthdays Mike and Margaret Levy are going to trek to the top of Ben Nevis - all 4,409ft (1,344 metres) of it! - on 2 May 2015! All friends and family are invited to join the expedition but if even the thought of it is enough to make you feel tired you can sponsor them here instead!

Marie and Dave Lozman, Andrew Levy and Paula Wensley have already signed up to join them!

All funds raised will go to the eye outpatients team at The James Cook University Hospital whose retinal development appeal aims to raise enough for a state-of-the-art eye scanner which will quickly diagnose sight threatening conditions (charitable fund D125).

The unit has treated both Marie and Mike's mum so we have witnessed first hand the fantastic work of this amazing team. Marie underwent an operation on her eye for a retinal detachment in 2013 and this is our chance to say thanks and give something back

Thank you to all at Tata Steel who donated £240 for Margaret's retirement collection!

And to everyone at Margaret and Mike's 60th party who helped raise £300 on the night!
