This will be my first and probably last Marathon! However, this is not a personal journey, it is for an extremely worthy cause, please read below:
Victoria Education Centre in Poole, Dorset, is a very special school for 100 disabled children and young people aged 4-19
It is a great place to live, learn and develop, offering the very best start in life for children and young people with disabilities including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy, acquired head injuries and other more rare conditions
Although many students with disabilities are now included in mainstream education, students with more complex and profound needs are referred to Victoria Education Centre, where they can receive the high levels of support and therapy that they need
Hydrotherapy is vital for all of our students wellbeing. Victoria Education Centre's current pool is over 25 years old and parts are no longer readily available. Without a new pool, soon all of our students would not be able to get their much needed relief from pain, keep their joints moving, relax and increase their posture and balance
To address this need, Livability has exciting plans for a state of the art hydrotherapy and therapy centre that will set the standard for years to come. Our Sparkle Appeal aims to raise £4m over the next 4 years to make these exciting plans a reality
Please help me make a difference to the lives of these wonderful children at Victoria Education Centre - please donate whatever you can
Thank you
