Bridget was a much loved mother, Grandmother and even great Grandmother (aka GG). She was born on the 13th March 1921 in Belfast where she grew up before moving to Birmingham when she was 16. She married Thomas O'Boyle in the 1940's and had 9 children with him. She lived to a grand age of 99 narrowly missing out on her 100th birthday. At Bridget's request we ask no flowers are brought to her funeral as she would instead like the money to go to Missio, a charity close to her heart and she has long supported. All through her life, my mom would send money to the missions, even in difficult financial times. If we didn't eat our meals, she would always say some poor child in the third world countries are starving, so appreciate what you've got on the table. All her life Mom helped people who were in need should it be a meal or a roof over their head, she would be there for them. Even the animals on the street, she brought them in from the cold and fed them. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.

 Missio ignites God's love by helping local missionaries to work alongside global communities that are poor or in need regardless of their background or belief. Money raised goes to help the hungry and sick children & also provides vaccinations to protect them & to help priests celebrate mass in remote villages. Whatever our missionaries need to help them share the joy of the gospel, Missio strives to provide it.
