We provide compassionate end of life care to patients across Bromley
Story
As some of you are aware, my wife Julie died last year after a two year courageous fight against lung and subsequently brain cancer. As a tribute to and in memory of Julie, together with the hope of raising funds for Harris Hospice, I have decided, probably stupidly, to climb Kilimanjaro.Although I could have raised money for Cancer Research the smaller cancer charities also need funding and I decided on Harris Hospice as they were fantastic and extremely dedicated in looking after Julie once we found out the cancer had travelled to her brain and was terminal. Harris Hospice costs £1.7m per year to maintain and with only 40% of its funding coming from the National Health Service the balance needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.
Any contribution, however small, will be greatly appreciated as it needs to be remembered that one in three of us will be affected by this awful disease.
Many thanks
Bill
