This summer, I, along with other students and teachers from my school will be going to Zimbabwe to teach kids there how to play tag rugby, culminating in a tournament completely run and organised by us students.

This incredible trip will be in partnership with Tag Rugby Trust which is a charity whose main aim is to provide tag rugby coaching to kids in different communities to educate and empower them through the powerful medium of sports. Personally, I am going on this trip to teach the Zimbabwean kids skills that they have never learnt before and as a result, will also gain important life lessons like teamwork, confidence and trust. 

We will also be conducting other charitable work with Tag Rugby Trust. For example, improving local infrastructure by helping build houses and community centres as well as helping solve problems they face daily such as sanitation and quality of water.

I will undoubtedly make memories that I will never forget, and appreciate more what we have at home. It will be the trip of a lifetime and I would be extremely grateful if you could help me make even more of a difference by donating any amount - all the money will go to improving the Zimbabwean quality of life, such as building new huts and centres for the local community. 

On my end, I will be running a 10 kilometre marathon (over 32 times the height of the Shard! - luckily i am running horizontally and not up! ), which in comparison to my normal 100 metre sprint at sports day, is an insane distance (100 times more than I’m used to!) 💪🏼 So wish me good luck!
