Story
The centre is making a huge difference to the lives of the local communities and to the reduction in the numbers of street children. This year I am helping AfriKids’ achieve the urgent renovation of the Bolgatanga Medical Centre in the capital of North-East Ghana. This is a private medical centre that AfriKids has recently taken over, which provides a number of key local medical services.
AfriKids intends to continue running the centre as a private income generating medical facility in order to fund and their Ghanain headquarters HQ staff, thereby freeing up valuable resources for projects and ensuring sustainability of their community work. It will also allow Afrikids to give free healthcare to streetchildren and other underprivileged families.
AfriKids is launching an urgent appeal in order to raise the £2,300 (£1,427 for the painting of the centre and £873 for carpentry works) that is needed in order to undertake urgent renovations of the centre. All the money raised will go directly to improving the centre and enable it to begin serving some of the most vulnerable children in .
I have visited the area and seen first hand the brilliant work being done by Afrikids. I have witnessed what a hugely positive effect a small amount like this can have. Please help me in making a difference no matter how small your contribution. The names of all donors will be engraved on a wall of the clinic.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Regards
Mike
