We support children to access education to create a better world for every child

Story

Hello! Thank you for checking out our #FebruaryFifty JustGiving page! We're doing a mix of walking, running and cycling 50 miles each throughout February for the KiSS February Fifty!

As lots of our family and friends know, KiSS has been a huge part of our lives since school and there's no greater cause for us to support. Kiddies Support Scheme was established in 1995 and works to sustainably support two communities in Uganda, Hoima and Kasambya. They have an excellent team based in both the UK and Uganda to support young people with access to education.

Education is woven into not only every project KiSS facilitates, but the attitudes of our staff and community. Every activity is an opportunity to educate and learn; from supporting children to access formal education at school, to vocational education at the Agriculture Project, to informal education at Village Savings and Loans groups (VSLAs)  and group activities educating people of all ages about the importance of good mental health.

Due to lockdown, KiSS has had to cancel multiple fundraisers in the past year, losing crucial income. KiSS has big plans for the future and we hope we can raise some money to support them in doing this.

We really appreciate any support you can give - whether it's donating to our fundraiser or sharing the link on social media. We'll be sharing updates as we go - wish us luck!
