Story
Many of you will be familiar with UNICEF (originally United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund). Part of the UN it works with governments around the world to ensure the rights of children. What you may not know is that it receives no UN funding and is 100% reliant on donations to do its work.
The statistics for children with and exposed to the threat of AIDS are staggering; almost every minute of every day 1 child dies and 4 young people are infected with AIDS; 15 million children have been orphaned.
On October 10, I will be running the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon for the Unite for Children, Unite Against Aids Campaign. By helping me reach my target of £1000 we can help UNICEF to treat and support children with AIDS and prevent other children from contracting it.
