Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Barnado's do amazing work to support families & children in the UK and desperately need donations / contributions to fund their activities and facilities. 

As most of you will already know I am, as the stress lines on my ageing face show, a seasoned supporter of Hibernian FC. Despite being brought up on the West side of Edinburgh by a Dad who cheered Hearts on at Hampden to a Scottish Cup victory in the 1950s, at the tender age of 10 I chose to follow my Mum's (Leith) side of the family & support the   Hi-bees. For those of you that don't know much about Hibs :

- 1st British team in Europe, - 1st British team to have a shirt sponsor, - Only team to beat Hearts 7-0 at Tynecastle on New Years Day 1973, - Famously abstained from winning the Scottish Cup since 1902

The other team in Edinburgh after Hibs Reserves is Hearts. Again for those that don't live in Scotland's Capital Hearts & Hibs are fierce rivals. 

My challenge? - on Friday May 28th I will dress down for work - you can pledge me money on this site & choose Hearts or Hibs - Hibs win, I wear a Hibs top at work all day & in my local pub all night (where they know I am a Hi-bee). Hearts win - I wear a Hearts top all day for the first time in my life and become a subject of ridicule & abuse.

If you are a pal and a fellow Hi-bee please pledge for Hibs - if you have been waiting for the opportunity to get one over on me now's your chance - pledge for Hearts.
