Hi, Thankyou for visiting my just giving page. My name is Sara, i am fundraising for the Meningitis Research Foundation in memory of my son Byron.
Byron sadly passed away on 05-09-12 after contracting meningococcal septicemia (menB) he was only 20 months old when he died. Its all happened so quickly! The day before Byron was his normal happy self, bouncing around getting into mischeif. When he became lethargic the next morning i noticed spots appearing on his torso so i took him to the local walk in centre where i was told he had chicken pox.! Four hours later he had deteriated so much i knew it couldn't of been chicken pox @ i rang for an ambulance. Despite the efforts of the hospital staff he passed away that night at 7.29pm :
Byron is my only child and he was absolute perfection. He brightened up even the darkest of rooms with his cheeky smile & perfect baby blue eyes. his laugh was infectious and no matter what mood you were in Byron would guarentee to make you smile
I miss my son very much more than anyone could ever know or understand and i want to carry on his memory aslong as i breathe and make sure no one ever forgets him!
(The MRF do excellent work in raising awareness and helping families who have suffered through this terrible disease. So this link is a way i can give a little back and thank them for all there hard work and also for us to raise funds & awareness as we possibly can
Meningitis acts extreamely fast & is a race against agaist time!!
'I am passionate about raising awareness of the disease as it took Byron's life so quickly and at such a young age. I just hope all my fundraising and efforts will help to ensure that other parents in the area know how to spot the symptoms xxx
thankyou for reading my story x
keep shining bright like a diamond Byron-James xxxxxxxxx.
