In September 2009, Gareth Woodward, John MacMillan, Steve Williams and Simon Hall are cycling 140 miles from Coast to Coast, West to East, to raise money for Stepping Hill Neo-Natal Department.

 

Our journey starts in the Northern Lakes heading through Keswick and Penrith, then climbing up over the Pennines and down through the Durham Dales to eventually finish in Sunderland.

 

Gareth & Suzanne have had two premature babies who have been cared for by the wonderful staff at the neonatal unit. Harry was born 9 weeks early in November 2007 and spent 5 weeks in hospital. Little brother George, born in April this year, arrived 3 months early and stayed on the neonatal unit for 11 weeks. Without the highly specialised medical care and work of the staff, boys like Harry and George would not be here today. We would like to raise money to provide the unit with more resources to care for babies like ours in the future.
