On Friday 26
th March 2010 CAP will be holding its first Marathon. The course is around the schools in Wakefield and was the brainchild of local athlete and CAP supporter Jonathan Robinson. Who will be running a route around 16 local schools. Each school is designing a cap for Jonathan to wear to the next school. All 16 caps will then be present at the finale. This is without a doubt no ordinary Marathon and will push Jonathan’s fitness and endurance to the max as he tries to complete the run and arrive at Wakefield Cathedral by 2.30 pm; where he will be met by well wishers, the media, the schools and our sponsors. Jonathan has completed the London Marathon on numerous occasions raising thousands for Down’s syndrome so we are thrilled that he is doing this sponsored Marathon to raise funds for CAP.
