Story
Thank you very much for visting our Just Giving site.
For those of you who don't know the details, we are running 79 miles in 24 hours in Namibia during May. If the 79 miles within 24 hours was not scary enough....the average temperature in Namibia during May is 35 degrees during the day and 5 degrees at night. So not only will it be scorcchio during the day, it will also be very cold at night - which gives us an extra challenge of deciding what kind of kit to pack!
However, we do have some serious motivation as we are running the event for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) - The Soldier's Charity. CJ spent 5 years in the Army and this charity is very close to our hearts. The ABF not only looks after soldiers when they are on operations and at home, but they also look after the families that are left behind. This is our opportunity to raise some money for the charity and give a bit back to the soldiers and officers who are risking their lives serving our country.
You can donate in many different ways - either give an amount of your choice, sponsor us per mile or think about giving us a little bit extra when we complete it within the time. Please give generously, either because you support the cause or you think we are slightly insane!
Thank you
Allie and CJ
