In planning a trip to Costa Rica in January I have ended up entering a 240km Endurance Race. So whilst you are eating a drinking your way through the festive period I will be training -a lot!
If you're going to run this far it's got to be for a good reason, mine being to raise money for Foundation Human Nature (FHN), a charity set up and run by 2 very close friends of mine. FHN was set up 5 years ago and currently has projects running in Ecuador and Ghana. It acts as both a charity and aid provider to local communities, with work focused on community participation and sustainable endpoints. The charity has helped to set up 24/7 health care centres in both Ecuador and Ghana. I am hoping to raise enough money to help purchase an ambulance, and help make repairs to the health centre in Ecuador.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Foundation Human Nature (England) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. ALL the money I raise will go to FHN, every penny, as FHN has no running costs.
So please sponsor me now! It's a long way to the finish and I need every incentive to get there. Many thanks for your support. Claire
