Story
Hello everyone -
Unlikely as it seems (I famously hate bikes) (something to do with the lycra and helmet-hair?) in January 2011 Simon and I are cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia to raise money for a fantastic organisation called MAG (Mines Advisory Group) who work for landmine clearance and the local affected communities worldwide. And the scary bit - we have to do over 400km in 5 days...
We travelled through Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos in 2009. The stories we heard from local people who had survived the conflicts of the 1960's, 70's and 80's made a real impression.
Cambodia still has around 5 million unexploded mines and can boast the unwelcome statistic of the highest number of amputees per capita in the world.
We wanted to go back. Now we are. Or we are if you help. Please please donate if you can.
(And keep doubts about our sanity to yourselves).
Thank-you very much!
Claudia
