Story
We all took part in the DSUK Skiathon at the Chill Factor (Manchester) on 18 May 2010 and skiied non-stop for 6hrs! This was a real challenge for most of our team who were either novice skiiers and 3 team members are serving guys who suffered traumatic injuries in Iraq & Afghanistan. They have now learnt to ski and wanted to take part in this event to raise as much £££ as possible for this fantastic charity that helps people with all disabilities to have the opportunity to try the exciting sport of skiing! I help out at my local group in Castleford & yesterday took a lovely 14yr old boy who has severe Cerebral Palsy; it was his 2nd time skiing & HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERY SECOND! The huge smile on his face (& his mum + dad who were watching!) showed me how amazing it is to give people less fortunate than ourselves something to smile about!! Its not too late to donate to our team page = It really does make a difference = THANK YOU VERY MUCH FROM ALL THE TEAM!
