We fund life saving medical research to beat the world's biggest killers.

Story

Colleagues at Community Windpower Ltd and Cobnut Homes Ltd,
a Cheshire based renewable energy and property developer, are taking on a 10-mile trek along the sandstone trail to raise funds for research into heart related health problems.

CWL staff will be walking on behalf of the British Heart Foundation
an amazing charity that research cures and treatments for heart related issues, with the goal of beating heartbreak forever.

Each year in the UK there are almost 200,000 hospital visits
due to a heart attack. Although survival rates have improved since we started funding research into new treatments, 180 people die from heart attacks in the UK each day. Which is why it's so important we continue funding research.

The challenge was organised by Rod and Diane, after staff
member Francesca Kay, lost her fiancé to a heart attack through underlying heart conditions earlier in 2022. Having previously completed numerous charity challenges CWL are getting back out after a two-year absence due to the pandemic to rally and support Fran at this difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to read our page and I hope
our story has given an insight into how hearty related issues can impact families across the UK. Any donations would be greatly appreciated from the British Heart Foundation and Community Windpower Ltd.
